Newark Kids Code is sponsored by The Urban League of Essex County. It is an educational initiative designed to introduce technologically disadvantaged and underrepresented youth to programming, (or "coding"), and other digital and computer technologies.
Vision – Newark’s youth will be employed at significant levels in the city’s high-tech ecosystem by the year 2025.
Mission – Putting at-risk and underrepresented youth on a pathway to college and careers in the STEM and Computer Science fields.
